    What is Tempered Glass?

Unlike standard glass which shatters into shards when broken, tempered glass fractures into small pieces. The tempering process used to make our glass makes it safer, stronger and more scratch/impact resistant than standard glass. Our Eiger Mountain Glass is 9 times stronger than standard glass, while Mountain Glass Ultra is 80% stronger than the Mountain glass! Both provide an excellent level of protection for your device.

Will my Eiger Glass screen protector fit with my phone case?

Most of our screen protectors are the perfect fit with our North Case & Glacier cases, however, the full, edge-to-edge screen protectors are not compatible so make sure you choose the 3D curved screen protector with a slightly smaller cut that is case compatible. Each of our listings clearly states case compatibility. Most non-Eiger phone cases will work with our Glass screen protectors, however some rugged, bulky cases that have a screen bezel can cause issues. If you are unsure, please contact us here and we will advise.

How do I adjust my Eiger Glass screen protector?

If it is necessary to adjust your Eiger Glass screen protector, slowly peel one corners (avoiding touching the adhesive) and gently peel off the phone.

How do I get rid of bubbles after I’ve installed my screen protector?

Please follow the instructions provided with your Eiger product for easy application. Ensure you have clean, dry hands, free from creams and lotions. Make sure you are installing on a clean, dust free surface, in good light. Sometimes, bubbles may still appear after installation. If this happens, please use the microfiber cloth to push out the bubbles. For larger bubbles it may be necessary to adjust your screen protector (see above). If bubbles are still visible, please allow a couple of days for these to disappear.

What is the difference between Full Screen and Case Friendly Glass?

Full Screen Glass features an edge-to-edge design meaning 100% screen coverage. Case Friendly Glass features a slightly smaller cut for optimal fit when used with a phone case.

What is the difference between 2.5D and 3D Glass?

2.5D and 3D refer to the curvature of the glass, with 3D being crafted using a special process enabling it to be curved to match devices with a larger curved screen. 2.5D glass is flat and fits the flat area of your screen only. You can read more about it here, on our blog.

    Is Eiger Glass unbreakable?

Eiger tempered glass is 9 times stronger than standard glass and provides an excellent level of protection for your device’s screen against impact and scratches. However, it is not indestructible, and Eiger Glass will break if subjected to larger amounts of force or pressure. The Glass is designed to absorb the force of any impact and if the impact is too great, the goal of our GLASS is to break so that it protects your device and the screen remains intact.

Will my touch sensitivity be reduced?

No, Eiger Glass offers 100% touch sensitivity. If you do experience any problems, you can adjust your screen sensitivity in settings. To do this for Apple iPhone X/8 /8 Plus/7/7Plus: >> Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Enable Touch Accommodations. To do this for Samsung Galaxy S22/S22+/S22 Ultra: >> Settings > Display > Enable Touch Sensitivity.

How do I remove the plastic film and/or backing plastic from my screen protector?

All Eiger Glass screen protectors include a plastic film and/or backing plastic to protect the adhesive side. To remove the protective film simply peel it away from the screen protector using the pull tab. To remove the backing plastic, gently pull the top tab of backing plastic away from the screen protectors to allow it to separate. Hold the protector whilst you continue to slowly peel the backing plastic away. WARNING – the glass screen protector can break if the plastic is removed too quickly or is subject to excessive force.
