This Privacy Policy describes how the Eiger Bundle Discounts Shopify app ("the App") accesses, uses and stores information when it is installed on a Shopify store.

The App is provided by Frequency 3G Telecom Ltd trading as Eiger ("Eiger", "we", "us" or "our").

Information accessed through Shopify

The App accesses only the Shopify store information required to provide its functionality.

This may include Shopify store identification and authentication information, discount configuration, product and product variant identifiers, metafield definitions, metafield data, metaobject definitions and metaobject data used to configure compatible product recommendations.

The App also includes a Shopify Discount Function. Shopify executes this function when evaluating an eligible cart. The function processes information such as product variant identifiers, quantities and App-specific cart line attributes required to calculate the applicable discount.

The App does not use the Discount Function to access or store customer names, email addresses, postal addresses, payment information or other customer contact information.

Information provided directly by merchants

Merchants can enter configuration information in the App, including bundle discount percentages, the Shopify variant identifier for a promotional product, and the applicable promotional discount amount.

The App does not require merchants to provide separate contact information or information about their customers through the App.

Customer information

The App does not directly collect personal information from a merchant's customers.

The App does not install customer tracking technologies, advertising pixels or marketing cookies, and it does not use customer browsing behaviour for analytics, advertising or profiling.

Shopify may send the App privacy-related webhook requests as required by Shopify's platform. These requests may contain Shopify identifiers associated with a store or customer. The App processes these requests only for the purpose of complying with Shopify's privacy requirements and does not retain customer personal information received through these requests.

How information is used

Information accessed by the App is used only to provide and maintain its functionality. This includes managing bundle discount configuration, creating and validating the Shopify data definitions required for compatible product recommendations, and applying configured discounts through Shopify.

We do not sell information accessed through the App, use it for advertising, or use it to build marketing profiles.

Data storage and retention

App configuration relating to discounts is stored within the merchant's Shopify store.

Compatible recommendation metaobjects and compatibility metafield definitions are also stored within Shopify and are controlled by the merchant.

The App stores authentication and session information required to maintain its connection to Shopify. This information is retained only for as long as required to operate the App or meet applicable legal and security requirements.

When Shopify sends the App a shop/redact privacy request following removal of the App, remaining locally stored Shopify session information associated with that store is deleted.

Merchant-owned Shopify data created or configured through the App may remain within the merchant's Shopify store after uninstalling the App and can be managed or deleted by the merchant through Shopify.

Data processing and international transfers

Eiger is operated by Frequency 3G Telecom Ltd, a company established in the United Kingdom.

The App may use third-party infrastructure and service providers to operate its services. Where personal information is processed outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, we will use appropriate safeguards where required by applicable data protection law.

Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information processed by the App against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure.

Access to Shopify is authenticated using Shopify's application authentication mechanisms, and privacy webhook requests are authenticated before they are processed.

Privacy rights and requests

Depending on where you are located, applicable privacy laws may provide rights in relation to personal information, including rights to access, correction, deletion or restriction of processing.

Requests concerning information held directly by a Shopify merchant should normally be directed to that merchant.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, our data practices or applicable legal requirements. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
